Okay, so first off, I must confess that I have a borderline obsession with palettes (Ok, and their packaging). LOVE. THEM.
So, naturally, when I saw the nude collection, I HAD to have it. The precious case alone did it for me.
See?
Okay, onto the details...
In this palette there are 9 complementary nude tone colors. It also comes with a foam doe foot brush (which sucks, so that went away asap).
This palette retails for $9.63 at Walmart. Which is not bad for Physician's Formula.
I wore three of the colors to a baby shower yesterday and they lasted all day. However, I will say that if I had not used my Urban Decay primer underneath, I don't think that I would have had the same outcome. The shadows are very sheer (except for the two darkest colors) and NEED a primer to look their best. The swatches on my hand all have primer underneath as well. I wanted to do a comparison hand with no primer, however, none of the colors were coming out dark enough to see. I also don't like how some colors are wider than others. It makes it hard to pick up just one specific color on the brush. I will say though there is a lot of room for imagination when it comes to mixing these colors together and creating a ton of different looks.
Yet another reason why I love palettes!
Pros:
cute packaging
colors complement all skin tones
can use for an array of looks
not very expensive for a palette
Cons:
crappy little brush included
MUST use a primer with most colors
has a bit of fallout when using a brush
some color strips are just too skinny!
Verdict: I have to say, I really do like this product. The primer issue is not a big deal for me because I use primer every time I wear eyeshadow. I like to think of this as the "poor mans" Urban Decay Naked palette because a lot of the colors mimic those found in the UD palette. (so, what I'm saying is, if you love the naked palette, but don't want to shell out the big bucks, then grab this one!) I will play around with it a bit more before I decide to buy another one.

Free Shipping on Eyeslipsface!
Hey guys,
Just thought I would share that until March 5th, eyeslipsface.com (elf) is offering up free shipping on orders over $25, or, if you use the code GAN195 you can get $1.95 shipping on any order!
I love ELF makeup as a "drugstore" category makeup. (since I did an order recently, I should have some reviews for you on those products very soon!)

Covergirl Blast Flipstick Lipstick Review
I had to run to the store for milk this morning and the new Covergirl endcap display caught my eye. One of the new products is the Blast Flipstick. It's a double ended lipstick with two complementary colors. It comes in 13 color combos. The stick that I chose is called "pucker". It has one shimmer finish and one cream "stainesque" finish. It retails at Walmart for $8, which may be a bit pricey, but with you think about it, you're getting two lipsticks for that price.
Pros:
stylish packaging
versatility
the color stays for at least 4 hours
fun colors
cream color provides a somewhat "lip stain" effect (aka-the color is difficult to remove)
Cons:
the cream color is drying!
They don't taste very good at all-no licking! lol
the clear tops come off rather easily (may not be a good product to toss in the purse)
Final Decision: I like it, but I don't love it. I'm sure I'll still use it, but I probably won't buy another one when I'm finished this one.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush Review
I have heard rave reviews on this blush, so I decided to give it a shot.
First off, I usually buy all of my makeup at Walmart (unless otherwise specified) mainly because they tend to be the cheapest. This product retails at Walmart for around $6.50 ($6.44 to be exact). The packaging is basic enough, however, I did find that it was a bit difficult to open the first few times, which stopped once the clasp loosened up a bit.
Dream Bouncy comes in 10 different shades ranging from sheer pink to a bold almost coral red. I chose to review pink frosting. (That uber cheery pink color).
The color remains true on the skin, however, coverage begins sheer, but is easily built upon. Maybelline calls it a gel-to-powder formula, but the texture of the product is almost like silly putty. It seems like it would be super fun to dig it out and play with it. I love the color of this blush. It actually rivals my other favorite blush, Cheeky, from Bare Minerals. I did use primer underneath and found that it stayed on all day and gave me a soft, flirty glow.
All in all, this product was definitely worth the money, and I will absolutely be buying other colors soon!

Welcome!!!
Hi everyone and welcome to the Drugstore Beauty Adviser blog! My name is Stacie and I will be your captain navigating you through the sea that is drugstore brands. Let's be honest for a moment, everyone would love to own and have the funds to constantly purchase high-end beauty products, but, sadly, that's not always possible. So, I am here to help you to spend those precious $$ on items that are worth it and to save your money on those less-than-worthy products.
Ill be posting reviews, sales, answering questions, and every once in a while, will have a "splurge" of the month.
***A word before I begin, I will rarely, if ever, review a drugstore foundation. Why, you ask? Because my skin is very sensitive on my face, and the only thing that I have found that does not cause me to break out in a rash or pimples is Bare Minerals. I may try to compare ingredients from that to drugstore mineral foundations and powders and MAY review those in the future, but for now, I wont be doing any.
I hope you all enjoy everything that is to come!
